Accelerated Marketing Group - Auctions
Open Out-Cry Auction:
By far the most traditional and recognized method of auction, in this type of auction the terms are set by the seller. Due diligence and pre-sale marketing are conducted beforehand and the event takes place at a predetermined date, time, and location. Each bidder is pre-qualified with certified funds to bid, and the vent is open and conducted live in a competitive environment.
A sealed bid auction is similar to an Open Out-Cry Auction in that offers are submitted in a certain location at a predetermined date, time, and location. However, the offers are submitted in a Sealed Bid format and then opened in a closed-door environment. The price is reviewed by the seller with the terms of the offering having been preset. This auction format is best suited for hard-to-value assets, as it provides more control over the transaction. It also allows the seller the flexibility to request “best and final” offers from qualified buyers in the competitive range of pricing.
